(BARDSTOWN) – The prosecutor in the Crystal Rogers case, Shane Young, is disputing the statements made by Nelson County Sheriff Ramon Pineora regarding what may come next in the Bardstown cases. Shay McAlister, with WHAS-11, says she received the following text from Young:
“Ramon Pineora has no idea what he is talking about. He has not been involved in this matter since I took over in January of 2023. He has not been in meetings and is not privy to anything we have done. I would ask that the public disregard any statements he makes that is related to any of the cases I am involved in. Kentucky State Police has been the lead agency on all three cases since January of 2023. Other agencies have assisted but Kentucky State Police has always been the lead agency in these matters.”
