A Marion County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against 41-year-old Joshua Ferguson of Loretto, Kentucky, in connection with an alleged theft that occurred in September 2023.
According to court documents, Ferguson is charged with Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000, a Class D felony. The indictment alleges that on or about September 27, 2023, Ferguson knowingly possessed property reported stolen with a value of $10,000 or less.
Ferguson is also charged as a Persistent Felony Offender, based on previous felony convictions after the age of 18.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Bardstown Police Department. The indictment was filed and entered in Marion Circuit Court on July 10, 2025.
It is important to note that an indictment is a formal accusation and does not imply guilt. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
